CCT Alphen aan den Rijn

With a throughput capacity of 200,000 TEU per year and 60,000 m2 of storage space, CCT Alphen aan den Rijn ranks among the largest inland shipping terminals in the Netherlands. From here, a daily waterborne container transport service is provided to and from the seaports of Rotterdam and Antwerp. Barges are loaded and unloaded with two gantry cranes.

CCT Alphen aan den Rijn and the Green Corridor

Every year, 45,000 containers are transported by CCT Alpherium from the Heineken brewery in Zoeterwoude to the Port of Rotterdam. Goods are also taken upstream to the brewery. Together with 20 partners, we have the joint ambition to make this route climate-neutral.
