Alpherium container terminal sold to CCT

Combined Cargo Terminals (CCT) from Moerdijk has acquired the Alpherium terminal, the ships and the employees of the Alphen terminal from NedCargo.

In recent years the Alphen terminal has developed into one of the largest of its kind in the Netherlands. Containers to and from Heineken and Zeeman, among others, are shipped via Alphen aan den Rijn.

NedCargo Director Antvelink says that with the sale of the business unit, more attention and resources will be freed up to focus on the core business of logistics for the food, beverage and retail goods market in the Netherlands and surrounding countries.

With its services, CCT covers the whole of Europe and beyond by inland shipping vessel, ocean-going ship or rail.
